Position Summary:
We are seeking a Sr. Level Packaging Designer. responsible for the company’s “look and feel“ through its compelling packaging of its very innovative products. The role is accountable for driving sales growth by leveraging and aligning all Creative Departments including Product development, The Creative Team and the Leadership Committee. This individual will have the ambition, experience, and passion to continue to transform this company in the rapidly changing retail landscape.
The position is based in New York City, New York and reports to the CEO and Owner of the Company
Responsibilities:
- Grow and retain existing accounts by supplying innovative packaging designs to our key customers by brand
- Work along the sales team to develop proposals that speaks to the customer’s needs concerns and objectives
- Work with technical staff and other colleagues to meet customer needs
- Provide support and advice to our key customers on their packaging needs and respective solutions
- Identify, coordinate and implement cost take out and value-added initiatives in line with the account strategy
- Develop Customer Care Activities to adapt and optimize the packaging used by each customer for transporting their products, having regard to the characteristics of the said products, their conditions of storage and warehousing
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- BA degree in packaging, product design or related
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the industry
- Good project management skills, excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter able to build relationships with a wide range of individuals at all of levels and across a number of disciplines
- Computer proficiency – MS Office, CAD, Adobe Suite
- Proficient in the creation of presentation and presentation skills
- Expert in Creative Strategy, Adobe Photoshop, CLO 3D Fashion Design Software
